Continent Study: North American Farm Life Collection

In preparation for our future continent and zoology studies, I’ve begun compiling groups of Schleich, Safari Ltd. and Papo animal figurines that are representative of various locales and habitats. I will be sharing them here on my blog in the hope they may help other families beginning their small animal collections for their children prioritize which to purchase first.

We opted to first purchase some of the large farm animals when beginning our daughter’s collection since they are easily recognizable and they were non-choking hazards. We have several farms we are able to visit in the area for free, and of course farm animals are a popular subject matter in a lot of children’s books.
